About AMRC Research
The AMRC conducts leading-edge R&D in advanced semiconductors, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), among other areas.
It was created in 2004 in the first phase of the Texas Technology Initiative, Gov. Perry's technology based economic development plan to sustain Texas' leadership in advanced technology industries to grow the high wage jobs of the future.
The AMRC is the model for the Regional Centers of Innovation and Commercialization (RCICs) proposed in the pending Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF).
